All-round (or apprentice) mechanic

Due to increasing work, we are looking for an enthusiastic all-round (or student) mechanic.

Wanted: mechanic who fixes things!

Have you ever installed or repaired a production line for the pallet and sawmill industry? Probably not. But do you think you can do it? Good, because we are looking for someone with an “I-will-make-that” mentality.

What exactly do we do?

CAMA is a small family business in Bodegraven. Our core team consists of four people. If it is too busy, we supplement it with freelancers and support from our regular supplier.

With our team, we sell and maintain production lines for the pallet and sawmill industry throughout Europe. We install on average about six brand-new production lines of various sizes every year. Installation often involves spending a week on site in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany. We always know this far in advance so that you, the installer, can schedule it properly.

But most days we are at work in Bodegraven. We overhaul used production lines there for a second life at another location. Sometimes we are out for a day to make repairs to mechanical parts or to the control system of lines that are now in use.

What do we expect from you?

The mechanic we are looking for is eager to learn. You have mastered the basics of mechanical engineering, electronics and mechatronics. You have a technical eye and see how to get something working again. We give you in-house training on the products of the Spanish quality brand CAPE Woodworking Machinery. After 6 months you have mastered the work and after 2 years you can call yourself a specialist.

Over time, you will work with us in all aspects of the work. Of course, we take your interests into account. Do you enjoy working on mechanics? Or would you rather fix problems in the controls? Do you like customer contact or are you a type who likes to prepare the work? With us, it’s all possible.

Specifically, the work includes:

  • Reconditioning of machines
  • Building new machines that we develop ourselves
  • Maintaining the commercial building
  • Installation of new production lines
  • Maintaining existing production lines
  • Troubleshooting remotely (95%) and on-site (5%)
  • Customer contact and spare parts requests

What does it get you?

Those who work at CAMA have an incredibly fun, varied job. After all, you really do fix all kinds of things with us. And you don’t do it alone. Working in a family business means working in a nice atmosphere where responsibilities are taken and shared. Depending on your experience and commitment, you will receive an excellent salary. You will receive a luxury company work bus, phone and laptop. Plus great colleagues who know how to get things done.

Do you want to continue to grow?

Are you looking for a job where you will have more responsibilities? With us, you can continue to grow. We would be happy to tell you more about it during an introductory meeting.

Will you come and join us for a day?

Speaking of getting acquainted, we invite you to join us for a day (paid) in Bodegraven. That way we can get to know each other a little better and you can see what the work entails. Welcome to our team of all-rounders!
